Order Meals

Are you in need of assistance with meal preparation due to an illness, or are you recovering from an accident or surgery? We can assist you for a short period (minimum of 2 weeks) or for a more extended period if needed. For $9.00 per meal, you can enjoy a hot meal accompanied by a light snack. Frozen meals are also available for $6.00 each. All meals are low-sodium, and we can accommodate most dietary needs, including those for individuals with diabetes, renal issues, vitamin K intolerance, and those who require pureed food.

We strive to accommodate personal preferences, including substitutions for pork and fish, among others. Preparation, packaging, and delivery of our meals are conducted under the guidance of a nutritionist and comply with all relevant health department regulations. The meals are delivered Monday through Friday, between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. You can choose a minimum of 3 days per week for delivery, or we can bring your meals all five days. If you need meals for the weekend, we can make arrangements to provide them.

You can apply by contacting our office at (310) 559-0666, Monday through Friday 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

  • We serve all in need regardless of age. The only criteria are that the person is confined to his/her home and cannot perform the shopping and cooking required to prepare meals.

  • Normally, our clients receive their first meals within 24 hours of signing up.

  • We understand that not everyone can afford the full cost of $9 per meal. Thanks to generous community donations and grants, Culver Palms Meals on Wheels can provide financial assistance for clients who qualify.

Our program operates on a limited budget and relies on contributions from individuals, foundations, and local partners to help offset meal costs. Due to limited funding, we carefully review each request to ensure we can assist as many people as possible. We do not receive government funding.

If you’re unable to pay the full amount, please let us know. We’ll ask a few brief questions about your income and household situation to determine whether you qualify for a subsidy or reduced rate.

Our goal is to ensure that no one in our service area goes without nutritious meals, while also keeping our program sustainable for those we serve.

  • We purchase from local kitchens that specialize in meals for seniors and operate in compliance with all health department regulations. Preparation, packaging, and delivery of meals are done under the guidance of a nutritionist and meet health department regulations.

  • Yes! Our drivers can bring meals into your kitchen, if needed, leave them on a table, or put them into your refrigerator—whichever is most helpful to you. You can also accept them right at the door.

  • Please inform us of any food allergies or special dietary requirements when you apply. While our meals are prepared in a commercial kitchen that also handles common allergens, we will do our best to accommodate your needs whenever possible.

Our menus are reviewed for nutrition and balance, and we can often adjust or substitute items for clients with specific medical or dietary requirements. If we can’t safely meet your needs, we’ll work with you to find alternative resources or community programs that can.

Your safety and health are our top priorities, and we’ll do everything we can to ensure your meals are both nutritious and safe for you to enjoy.

  • Yes, absolutely. You can pause or cancel your meals for a few days without losing your place in the program. We understand that schedules change — you may have appointments, visitors, or other plans.

We kindly request at least 48 hours’ notice when canceling or pausing service, so our kitchen and volunteers can plan accordingly.

If we receive your cancellation less than 24 hours before delivery, we may still need to charge for the meal, as it will have already been prepared and scheduled for delivery.

Thank you for helping us reduce waste and keep the program sustainable for everyone we serve.
